Project Summary

The Hotel Management System is a tool for booking the rooms of Hotel through online. It provides the proper management tools and easy access to the customer to get information about Hotel.

In this project “ONLINE HOTEL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM”, main three functionalities are “Room details, Customer details and Bill reports”. 

When the Customer enters in the hotel all facilities required to a customer are provided that were discussed in SRS, previous section.

Room maintenance facility is also considered in this project. Bill report file contains the rent information about each room. Automation of billing system is this project. Automation of restaurant is also attached to this project.

There are three options for customer’s choice. First is lunch second is Dinner the third is Breakfast. Each option contains a list of items within it so that a customer can select any item according to their choice.

A new thing is also introduced in this project, is a list of booking rooms for Police station that is sent to a Police station on daily basis.

Project Objectives

The purpose of this, (Software Design Description) documents is to explain the implementation of requirements that were discussed in the SRS. The SDD document is used to describe the detail design of the requirements and give details about the software how to design software. SDD is a complete and graphical documentation for the software describes through the text and also use some diagrams and other supporting requirement information that help to make this document.

This complete document based on designing of our project. We make design of project according to our requirements that describe in SRS. Second main goal of this SDD is to achieve the software architecture and design of the system. This document also gives detail information that helps us to understand the communication of the system with several designs of the systems. This document extends the functions of features that describes in the SRS. Each feature like classes, attributes, functions and requirements implemented in details.

The system is coded with ASP.Net programming language. We will also use the software SQL server for storing data inside the database

Application overview

This application is a web based application. The user will login by entering the User Name or Email Address and password. The window will appear and will ask for the password if password matches then it will grant access to user. If user enter wrong password more than 5 times the program will show error message and exit. When user will type password it will show asterisk instead of character. Online Hotel management system is a system in which we use different extraction techniques are used and stores the results in database. The system follows the following steps.

• Users login by entering the password and user name.
• Stores results in database.

• Result will save in database.

 Assumption  

The user of this website will be installed SQL server to execute the functionality of the system in regard to offline. If user wants to publish this site on internet then purchase a domain and doing next step.

Benefits of the Project

The OHMS project is developed for the reservations of rooms in an online style. It allows some of the usual operation of the Hotel. Our OHMS will have three end users as Customer, Admin, and Owner.

Online Hotel Management System has Booking Management System, Report generator, Pick and Drop, Police report, financial report.

Customers can view rooms, check the availability of rooms and reservation for the room. Admin will have access to update or modify booking details and also responsible to send the police report to police station. Owner will able to view the financial report and police report and able to update room information such as cost and category.

Its main goal of this introduced automated website is to make simpler the everyday work of the hotel. Nowadays hotel are to be seen everywhere in the city so there will be a mechanism that will be manage hotel operations automatically and we just escape from manual system. OHMS provide great functionality to the customer that they will be enjoy from these services.

The customer can also use pick and drop services.

Vehicle record is also managed in this project.

This website is designed for all the operating system that will be support current media enable web browser.

UML (Unified Modeling Language) is used, graphical notations and now we used UML for the representation graphics of the OHMS. UML provides different Diagram and it has many Notations for represent gathered requirement that were described in SRS, in the previous section.
