GradChain is an instantaneous Degree and Course certificate verification service,  Academic fraud is a billion- rupees industry around 30% of people in Pakistan use fake Degrees or certificates and lie on their CV. Several get away with it and even reach the top of the ladder. This is because, today, verifying authenticity of qualifications is confusing, slow and expensive: most universities make use of their own solutions which are often manual and can take up to one month to yield an answer, and Companies or organization can’t verified their employees documents from HEC by their own.

To tackle these issues, GradChain guarantees that anybody, anywhere can instantaneously verify your true qualifications stated on your CV. Issuers (e.g. universities, institutes) upload on the GradChain their records (e.g. student diplomas) via GradChain, and provide record holders with a QR code to access their records. This QR code can be included on CVs or LinkedIn for employers to scan and instantly verify the qualifications stated by job applicants.

We can provide universities and institutes with the ultimate technology BlockChain to prevent diploma fraud by enabling tamper-proof storage of qualifications, with a simple scan on a smartphone, we can make verifications so easy for employers that they will have the incentive to verify qualifications as soon as they receive an applicant’s CV.

Our ambition is to rule out fraudsters at the very beginning of any recruiting process: with GradChain, you can instantly verify any qualification. User can access 24/7 to check qualifications via QR codes on CV and LinkedIn profiles. The user data  is verify on BlockChain so its guaranteed to be authentic.

System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Planning:

• we plan that we will use Ethereum Blockchain for our project.
• we will use asp.net for web app.
• we will create a QR code reader on android.

Analaysis:

• setup Ethereum Blockchain
• use Cryptography encryption for Security
• universities and institudes have verified login accounts to upload degree holder information on blockchain
• company can verified their employee degree by using android QR code reader app.

Benefits of the Project

The problem we are tackling is that of academic fraud. Despite widespread fraud, recruiters are currently discouraged from verifying qualifications. And 1/4 of people lie on their CV in Pakistan. Yet, 28% of Pakistan firms avoid background checks because they are too expensive and take up to a month. By avoiding these checks, recruiters run the risk of hiring the wrong candidate which can cost thousands of rupees.

GradChain will also increase the value of short courses certificate because if certificate are verified from institutes, So no one can use their certificates fake copies, So this platform can increase the value of short courses certificates.

You can instantly verify any qualification. User can access 24/7 to check qualifications via QR codes on CV and LinkedIn profiles. The user data on blockchain is guaranteed to be authentic
