Project Summary

In this current situation energy is leading necessity for human life. Convention sources of energy are generating most of the energy as need today. It is very important to design polluted free power generating system. The project is about manufacturing speed breaker power generator with some simple mechanism which is eco-friendly and sustainable source of energy. Speed breakers are installed on roads to slow down speed of vehicles, but the kinetic energy of the vehicles is wasted. This waste kinetic energy can be utilized to generate electric energy. The kinetic energy of moving vehicle is turned to mechanical energy by the rack and pinion mechanism. This mechanical energy is then converted to electric energy by means of generator. This energy can be used for street lighting, road signals, sign boards, advertising billboard, highways and check posts.

Project Objectives

The objectives of my project are:

1. Utilising general speed breaker smartly  to functions like an energy providing tool.

2.Designing speed breaker to generate power.

3. Connecting the speed breaker to a rack and pinion mechanism under the speed breaker.

4. System is connected to a dc motor in terms of generating electricity

5. Battery is attached to the motor store the power

Project Implementation Method

Implementation methods are as follows:

1. Converting a casual speed breaker to a suitable power generating machine.

2.Design the speed beaker smartly.

3. Connecting the system with a battery or source/load to be benefited with power.

Benefits of the Project

The main benefits of the project are:

1. High rate tof accidents in long track of Balochistan due to lack of street lights besides road, the project can lightens the street light besides roads by using speed breaker on roads.

2. This project doesnot only power street lights but can be used for many other purposes such as digital billboarding, advertisement, road signals, sign boards, advertising billboard, highways and check posts and electrifying small villages near by roads as 64% of Balochistan lack electricity in Pakistan.

3. We can store power for later use as well.
