Gas Leakage Detection system using IoT
Project Area of Specialization Internet of ThingsProject SummaryGas leaks are a severe problem in homes and a challenging situation for everyone who cooks with LPG gas regularly. The goal of this project is to show a new system that automatically sends a notification to the gas agency over Wi-Fi and books a cylinder when the gas is about to end. Furthermore, the sensor is used to detect the leakage of gas in residence. If the percentage level in the cylinder falls below the standard level established for gas to be indicated as being empty, an automatic message will be sent to the gas industry to book a new cylinder. Hence, the customer will receive a response message regarding the booking status.
Project ObjectivesThe main goal of this SRS document is to precisely define the Gas Leakage Detection System, which is currently under development. This document covers the functional and non-functional requirements for Gas Leakage Detection System that happen to be essential features of the system that are known, fixed, and agreed to be delivered. The intended audience of this document includes the owner of the house and the end users of the Gas Leakage Detection System. Other intended audience includes the development team or developer.
Project Implementation MethodThere is only single user in this system who has access to the system via account. The user can Enable/Disable gas sensor, measure gas leakage report, save reports, and turnoff the buzzer as well.
• Front-end software: React native
• Back-end software: nodeJs
Benefits of the ProjectGas Leakage Detection System supports more than 100s of users at a time. It can handle GBs of information smartly. The app must be interactive and must response immediately on every command. Action response time of the application must not exceed from 2 seconds. When connecting to an ESP32 microcontroller, the delay is determined by the distance between both the mobile device and the ESP32 micro - controller, as well as the configuration among them, so there is a high possibility of a successful connection in much less than 20 seconds for the sake of effective communication.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableGas Leakage Detection System is an IOT based mobile application. The system will not interface with any other system, it is a standalone application. However, it is not fully independent. It is dependent on sensors and internet connectivity. The system provides easy and user-friendly environment to detect, measure and send the gas leakage reports remotely.
