The project pertains to development of mine safety and security, the system offers real-time data about location and activity status of workers and equipment, level of pollutants in the mines.it can be used to detect emergency events and safety threats and provides warning signals or other control signals to handle the emergency. The real-time data helps to get early warning about a possible danger, even enables the authority to spot and alert their workers in case of emergency.

Project Implementation Method

The project will be implemented in Angular framework as a frontend and node JS in the backend.  The data will be stored in MySql database. The real time location information from WiFi tags, and readings from the environmental sensors such as temperature, humidity, toxic gas sensors etc., will be sent to the server via Linux based AP. The useful data will be displayed on a web server which can be accessed locally as well on a remote host. The Web GUI will allow triggering an alarm to evacuate Mine in the event of an emergency.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

We are going to design a monitoring system that contain a network mesh and each node/access point in the network work as a sender/receiver and used to send/receive the data from the sensors or to the sensors to generate the different alerts for the safety of the workers in the mine. These signals are then process or analyze by the main control system and generate the relevant alerts. This main control system is implemented using the node js and angular framework.
