Project Title

E-Care

Project Area of Specialization Internet of ThingsProject Summary

In the past, there have been many attempts at similar such systems for healthcare monitoring systems. Some systems only have applications, which does not provide the accurate result, and some systems have only device through which doctor cannot prescribe/treat the patient, and those systems who have both application and device they do not have much features and they are very costly. So, our system is an integration of all these above developments. Moreover, ours is a low cost system and is very easy to implement. We are using server for maintaining data of patient. We are using Arduino-UNO, which is much cheaper than raspberry Pi.

The proposed method is based on smart devices and sensor networks for real time analysis of various parameters of patients. Solar device would be connected to our main device to provide power. This system is aimed at developing a set of modules which can facilitate the diagnosis for the doctors through tele-monitoring of patients.

The ambulance driver and the user will having a device, which can estimate blood pressure, temperature, and heartbeat and immediately alert the doctor if it is higher than normal. The system will generate the alarm or notification to the doctor about patient health So that patient can be treated in real time environment via Email. The doctors monitor the patient in real time through the data received through the server. The medical history of each patient including medications and medical reports are stored on cloud for easy access and processing for logistics and prognosis of future complications. Although the patient can also call an Ambulance in case of Emergency, the application will automatically book a nearby ambulance for the user, and then an ambulance driver will send the emergency alert to the doctor to prepare the things needed for the user as the main target audience of our system are all the users.

Project Objectives

We are developing and IOT based device to analyze and compute the patient health we are using Arduino UNO, which is the heart of this project.

Project Implementation Method

This system has facility of online ambulance tracking and emergency alert being Completely integrated and cheaper system; it can be implement with paralyzed and elderly people for best results, which make it easy to provide a better healthcare facility to the people.

The methodology we will be using in our project is waterfall model because that is a linear sequential process.

Requirement Analysis:

In the first phase the requirements and features that are necessary for E-Care are gathered and then there will be analysis for the requirement which will ensure the feasibility of the project.

System Design:

In the second phase, the model and architecture of the system will be developed on the basis of requirements that are approved. The design phase includes, ERD, Use cases, Prototypes etc.

Implementation:

In this phase cloud and hardware is configured at the first place, and then programs are developed in order to sense Temperature, Blood Pressure and Heart Rate as an input and gives an accurate reading as an output. An android application is then build which can show the result of the evaluated sensors.

Testing:

After the development of the system, testing phase is initiated. The system will be tested on different test samples in order to calculate the accuracy of the system. There will be different type of testing applied, such as penetration testing, stress testing, black box & white box testing.

Deployment:

In this phase the tested product is deployed, the programs that implement for detecting the readings are deployed on cloud & programs responsible for taking the input through users are deployed on Arduino.

The project is Arduino based device the patient and ambulance will have this device so the application can record patients data with the help of device such as Blood pressure, Temperature, Heart rate the patient can send the recorded data to the doctor, doctors can reply via email patient can also call and track the ambulance. Ambulance staff can get that data of patient and can send the emergency alert to the Doctor.
