Project Summary

Health Consciousness corresponds to self-awareness about one’s health, and the willingness to engage in health wellness promoting behavior.  The main problem is to maintain history about what they eat, people should be aware of how much they can daily intake according to their profile. It can be in sense of weight loss or gain and disease. And further more whatever you eat just take a snap shot of food (Desi food), get the nutritional information of your meal and save in app. Smartphone platforms have lowered costs, reduce the burden to participants, and overcome some limitations of traditional in-person behavioral weight loss programs.

We are developing the Android based Food Recommender System with Considering Nutritional Information and User Preferences. It will suggest how much they can eat according to their health or diet plan. An alert notification will be popped up when the user is at border line.  User can simply snap a food photo and get the nutritional information of your meal and save in app. So whatever you eat just take a snap shot of food and save in app that will provide ease to user.  

Project Objectives

Project objective as follows:

• To recognize food (especially desi cuisine) through image.
• To record the diet.
• To notified user according to their profile.
• To keep track on calorie intake.
• To recommend cuisine according to their disease.
• To overcome disease.
• To set diet plans/milestone.

Project Implementation Method

We will implement our project through waterfall model. Phases of implemented method
as follows:

1. Requirement gathering and Analysis: All possible requirements of the system to be developed are captured in this phase and documented in a requirement specification document.
2. System Design: The requirement specifications from first phase are studied in this phase and the system design is prepared. This system design helps in specifying hardware and system requirements and helps in defining the overall system architecture.
3. Coding / Implementation: With inputs from the system design, the system is first developed in small programs called units, which are integrated in the next phase. Each unit is developed and tested for its functionality, which is referred to as Unit Testing.
4. Integration and Testing: All the units developed in the implementation phase are integrated into a system after testing of each unit. Post integration the entire system is tested for any faults and failures.
5. Deployment of system: Once the functional and non-functional testing is done; the product is deployed in the live environment.
