A local person can be a carjacker or criminal who can produce harm. The main focus of Fetch My Car is its security, safety and affordability. The owner and the passenger have to bear shared amount. Currently, this system will be designed as organization-based system. For the safety purpose, owners, who want to share their ride, have to register themselves with some necessary credentials like their National Identity Cards or Organization employee ID and provide complete details of their vehicle .This system will bring easiness for community and coordination among people. We are well aware of the security and safety challenges we face because carpooling in Pakistan is not considered to be a safe option as most of us live in fear and suspicion. To deal with the security threat, our aim is to explore organization/institution-based potential carpoolers who belong to the same organization. In order to ensure safety, we are introducing our system as an organization-based system, where all the users of the application will be a part of that organization. The fact that you know the person through some reference puts a lot of fear at rest. It is minimizing the risk factors, risk factors as any robbery, carjacking, or any kind of unethical activity. It is fine and safe to share a ride or take the car on rent, with someone you are familiar with. There will be a complete profile for each system user with their rating that will be calculated on the basis of remarks and feedbacks given by ride-seekers and carpoolers. An organization will be treated as a central control system for this service because all the system users must be employees, students, faculty, or any member of an organization. Fetch my car offers you shared expenses, no one has not to bear high expenses, there will be shared expenses for each ride.
Ensure safety is one of the goals to develop an accessible, reliable, and useable system. To share a ride with strangers is problematic. A stranger can be a carjacker, criminal, or can enhance risk of unethical practices.
There is no central control for this type of systems. Who can manage and validate the authenticated users. There should be a middle layer, where users must be registered.
High expenses is also one of the issues that need to be tackled. People bear high expenses for their journey. Economically, it is not worthwhile. To book a private ride seems very expensive.
We will be using agile development process to develop our system. It helps to manage and implement the system into segments that basically reduces the risk factor. Agile development process involves planning, execution, and evaluation. In testing phase, firstly, we will be testing each component individually then integrate all the components and test the whole working system.
There will be three stakeholders in our system. Carpoolers, ride-seekers and central system-an organization.
Carpoolers will have to create a profile with necessary credentials and register themselves in out system. They can also see the requests for a ride. The willing carpoolers can also rent their vehicle to the needy one. They will be able to invite ride-seekers to avail shared ride at their location. They can also update their profile timely.
Ride-seekers will be able to see the invitations for ride. There will be a feature where they can ask for a ride at their location. Ride-seekers will also be able to request for vehicle on rent. Payment method will be through jazz cash. Once the ride is finished payment will be released and passenger will be asked to leave a feedback for driver.
As the users must be part of an organization so it will be responsible to authenticate the users. Once the authentication is done, carpoolers and ride-seekers will be registered in system and can use the service.
We will limit our system to an organization which will reduce security issues because all the users will register from the respective organization. Now each user will be authenticated. As on online re-hailing system or taxi have the problem of scam that driver take long route if he doubts passenger is new to the place and take money accordingly. But using our system fetch my car will discard this as well because the owner has to pay money of whole expenses then he would try to minimize resources used. Traveling in Daewoo and Mover is not easy if you are alone or if you are sitting will stranger then in whole journey to feel boredom but when you will travel with a person of same organization then you possible know each other whole time you passenger and driver will gossip and make a happy journey. It will also help to reduce the gap in communication and will create a good social environment. More the number of ownership of car more will be air pollution so to cope up with this, this system is best because the main purpose of this is to fill idle seats of the car and reduce other car uses more it will reduce traffic which in turn will reduce air pollution and noise pollution. Moreover, if we see it reduces time as well and rides will be on passengers will like where so ever he can ask the car to stop. If we see UBER and CAREEM there passengers will have to pay the whole amount to avail service but in this system, passengers have to pay half amount to reach the destination. Keeping in mind a student, this system must be encouraged because it reduces the cost of transport for students because being student pay daily transport expenses are difficult and this system will help out to tackle this problem. In another e-hailing system, anyone can register but in our system, only organization-related people can register which make it more authentic and reliable. Our system is to ensure a safe and secure journey.
In the final deliverable project there will a Cross-Platform Mobile Application and a web App for Admin Support. In Mobile App there will be two type of user.
1. Ride Seeker:
Ride Seeker will be able to request for a ride( shared or private), there will be a notification module where user can get updates and new available ride to their route. There will be a payment transfer module for ride seeker where he/she can connect there wallet and perform transactions.
2. Carpooler:
Carpooler is one who offer ride to others. There will be a module in application where carpooler allowed to create a ride offer and broadcast on network. There will be an option where carpooler can also avail ride and act as a ride seeker. Carpooler will be able to manage he/her profile and availabilty timing. There will be ranking for each carpooler to maintain his/her trust score on profile.
There will a Web App for Admin where Admin can Manage all the backend activites including new updates, entertain complaints, and manage progress of users.
