We are about to style a wireless detector networks to automate the tube-well, watch the conditions of the farming and increasing the crop yield and quality without any special hardware device. We have to monitor completely different conditions of surroundings like water level, humidity, temperature etc., The microcontroller Arduino Uno, GSM module for Mobile Device Communication are employed in the coming up with the system. The system performs knowledge acquisition, processing, transmission and reception functions like the prediction of better crop and weather.

Tube-well Automation

In digital farming, farmers can satiate their lands from any place by using our mobile app. He has to provide some basic information about land’s record and which type of crop he is going to irrigate and the stage or level of crop. And we’ll try to estimate from the sited information that how much our irrigation system is based on tube-well pumping.

Crop Prediction 

In this module we are going to design such a system which will predict that which crop will give us better production on the basis of records of crops that what type of crop is suitable under your circumstances i.e. temperature, pH of your territory, humidity and rainfall for that specific crop yielding. This module will help the farmer to grow the good crops on his land according to condition of his land.

Weather Forecasting

Weather forecasting is that the application of science and technology to predict the conditions of the atmosphere for a given location and time. Folks have tried to predict the weather informally from millennia and formally since the nineteenth century. Weather forecasts are created by collection quantitative information concerning this state of the atmosphere at a given place and mistreatment meteorology to project however the modification in atmosphere can exists. A farmer can’t fight the weather. However, he will adopt the given state of affairs and take further farm management practices to reduce crop losses. Therefore, correct info concerning the weather is very important in order that farm activities are often planned while not adverse events. Being responsive to time period weather like air and condensate temperature, precipitation, rain info, air pressure and wetness is that the best thanks to defend crops and secure a high and healthy yield. Extreme weather like drought, flood, hail, or frost will cause instant plant stress, therefore resulting in failing production and increased price.

The above work is our IOT based work and we also have to control the quantity of water that how much water is required for that specific crop with respect to the polygon of fertile land. For these measurements, first we need to know that what is the exact flow rate of water through tube-well pipe.

Project Objectives

Digital farming is a promising evolution of current technology and the most advanced assistance system for farmers and are envisaged to be the sustainable future for reducing farmer’s physical and provide help to take better decisions in an efficient way. Research on farming techniques is growing rapidly in recent years and encompasses different domains, including robotics, computer science, and engineering. Moreover, it should be noted that scientific advancements have been made for farmers by any person, do not always publicly disclose the details on their approaches or algorithms, owing to commercial sensitivity.

In our country we have some major issues like lack of water, load shedding and no proper arrangement of awareness regarding weather forecasting, land moisturizing, suitable crop for fertile land and rain information. We have been facing these issues from many years ago and still we have no proper arrangement to resolve these issues. To resolve these issues, we are going to develop a system with following features.

Project Implementation Method

We are developing this system in Pyton, Arduino's  native language (C) and JavaScript in MERN stack platform using Java Script language and C language for micro-controller programming. For implementing this system, an efficient computer with at-least 4GB RAM and a structured database is necessary. The GSM also has some constraints related to its frequency range that has not proper approach in too much rural and tribal areas. For fetching data from some specific server, high speed internet is also required so that the system must response within time constraints and must detect the activities with high accuracy and generate the true positive results. And for prediction of better yield, we are using python with a Decison Tree machine learning model.

The developer must consider the security of the system i.e. login credentials so that no one can access the system and confidential data. If the customer organization is responsible for maintaining the system, the developer must set some design standards and programming language so that it can easily be maintained. As this system is primarily designed for creating assistance related to farmers so the policy must be set that the confidential data and satellite images cannot be misused, or the developer must design and implement this system in a way that no one can breach into the system through any sources.

Benefits of the Project

To reduce the physical effort of a farmer and to increase the growth rate of  crop by taking help which crop is better under his enviromental behaviours and its territory's prespective. 

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

On final deliverable, we should not show a simple prototype but it should be a complete project in running form that should be in a deployable form (IA)
