During the research of expansive soil in slope stability it is identified that it seriously effect the safety of the project which leads to great losses and environmental damages so we are going to find the risk assessment of expansive soil in slope stability. How the landslides mechanism occur and it cause damage to the roads, and the embankment fails during the rainy seasons, it all happens because expansive soil change its properties with changing in weather seasons so for that we will identify all the safety factors to reduce the environmental and construction damages along with providing effective recommendations based on the analysis of Geotechnical engineering. During the process treatment of landslide in expansive soil area, the influence factors of expansive soil slope stability should be clarified, Rainfall is the main cause of shallow sliding damage of expansive soil slope. slope safety factor reduces with increasing rainfall intensity, and the permeability function has little impact on the slope safety factor, Construction technology and management level also have a great impact on slope stability during the construction process, such as atmospheric wetting drying cycles, the control of moisture content and degree of compaction.

We can stabilize the failure of the expansive soil slope by different methods traditionally and non traditionally, further there are different categories in it like mechanically stabilization and chemically stabilization. Further more we can also recommend the different techniques for stability of the slope by providing the soil reinforcement, anchoring and compaction. We can also stabilize the expansive soil by use marble industrial waste as a stabilizer.

Collecting soil sample from different locations in kpk (kohat ,karak, bannu, charsadda, nowshehra)

Performing test on soil sample to know its properties

When the soil’s identified conducting test to determine the various input parameters (poisson’s ratio, unit weight ,cohesion, angle of internal friction) vales

The vales of the inputs are given to the software which in return finds out for how table the slope of that area would be.

The purpose of or project is to know the slope stability ,provide solutions to improve expansive soil and also to introduce new techniques for finding slope stability using SV slope software.

Flattening of slopes results in reduction in weight which makes the slope more stable

Providing lateral supports by piles or retaining walls

Grouting or cement injections into special places

Consolidation by surcharging or electro osmosis increases the stability of slope
