Project Summary

“Online duty schedule and remuneration system” is a software developing for managing various activities in duty schedule and remuneration system. Nowadays in the existence of modern technology facilities, many universities use a manual system for Exam duty schedule and Remuneration for examiners. This is a very tedious and time-consuming method for selection of duty staff and for their remuneration, therefore we want to develop a software in which every Teacher will register their self online for the duty. He/she will fill out the form where they will provide their “Personal” and “Employment” information and then will submit to the online system where this information will be stored in the database.

This system is further divided into two sub-systems, “Online duty schedule” and “Remuneration system”.

The duty schedule contains registration of user (Teacher), selection of duty staff, superintendent feedback form. In the Admin area of online duty schedule, there will be search bars in which admin will put “total number of required staff” for specific exam duty, When admin put the value then there will be a button by which staff members will select randomly by clicking two or three times.

A teacher will perform only one duty in the year. If anyone does corruption then he/she will not perform duty after that.

There will be a feedback form in which a Superintendent will give feedback about their staff members carefully.

In the Remuneration system, an admin will put the CNIC of the teacher then all the data of teacher will show. Then admin will only put the days and type of duty performed. After that, the data will be submitted and will send to a specific table which can be cheek one by one and also can print data of all teachers.

When their cheque is ready then they beSMS for collection of their cheque.

In order to attain the general objective, the following list of specific objectives is set:

To develop online duty schedule system.
To develop online remuneration system.
To set an online feedback system for a superintendent who will give feedback about their subordinate staff members.

To develop an SMS system to send SMS for confirmation of duty and remuneration.

Project Implementation Method

Implementation:

Implementing the system means to make the system run. If the system is running correctly then it means that the implementation is right and system is running well. The project will be finalized by using the PHP programming language with MY SQL as the database at the backend. Dreamweaver CS5 will be used for designing the site. We have selected Rapid Application model (RAD model) approach for our project completion. We started with a single module and moved on to the next after completing and testing the first. Every module will be broken down into submodule and deal one at a time. The web application is more important for security. The hacker’s life has become tougher in recent days. Various intrusion detection and defense mechanisms developed by network security companies, it is no longer easy to breach security perimeters and gain unauthorized access to an organization’s network. As our project is a web-based project. There are many tools available to develop a Web application. However, we prefer to develop our project in PHP language and MYSQL. The reason for selecting these tools to develop our project is explained in detail below. Implementation is the stage in the project where the theoretical design is turned into a working system and is giving confidence in the new system for the users that it will work efficiently and effectively. It involves careful planning, investigation of the current system and its constraints on implementation, design of methods to achieve the changeover, evaluation of change over methods. Apart from planning the major task of preparing the implementation are education and training of users. The implementation process begins with preparing a plan for the implementation of the system. According to this plan, the activities are to be carried out, discussions made regarding the equipment and resources and the additional equipment has to be acquired to implement the new system. In the network backup system, no additional resources are needed. Implementation is the final and most important phase. The most critical stage in achieving a successful new system is giving the users confidence that the new system will work and be effective. The system can be implemented only after thorough testing is done and if it is found to be working according to the specification. This method also offers the greatest security since the old system can take over if the errors are found or inability to handle a certain type of transactions while using the new system.

Benefits of the Project

The Proposed system “online duty schedule and remuneration system” is a computerized version of an existing system which provides easy and quick access over the data for both the parties. Authorization scheme will be used for this project to handle various activities. We have planned to choose an open source for development of this project. This will facilitate both exam section of any university and the staff who are interested in providing their services for exam duty. This will transparently the selection process of examiners where they will be expected on their previous track record. Duty will be assigned purely on merit basis. The duty charges to the duty will be paid through the online system. It helps admin to manage and give some advantages:

Selection of staff for exam duty.
SMS system for duty confirmation.
Generating selected staff report.
Feedback about staff status during exam duty
Generating a remuneration report.

The software will help the user in case of the registration and information about duty and remuneration through SMS.
