Project Summary

We propose a system that provides the clothing items on rent to the users/customers. Where users can search and find items and rent them for a given period. Our project is based on two modules: One is an admin dashboard for the stores to register themselves, and the other one is our android application from where users can find the items of their choice and can book them on rent within a specific time period. At present, there is no computerized system in such type of stores. All the processes and information are based on a manual system. Most data are stored on paper, therefore it is required too much time to tracking data for use, and it also faced the general problems of the manual system. To solve these problems, a new computerized system will be developed to replace the manual system.
It becomes easy for users to choose outfits and booked them without interacting or reaching those stores. This application provides benefits for both customers as well as store owners. The application makes users able to book the outfits on rent from home as there is no particular application in Pakistan for clothing items on rent. And it also provides a platform to the stores as well where they can rent their products.

Project Objectives

The main objective of fashion cloths on rent revolved around making luxury clothing available to people who are not able to afford it.

Our objective as a clothing rental app is to develop a highly successful, profitable all-round clothing rental business that will provide quality services in our country and to become a standard for an ideal clothing rental business in Pakistan.

Project Implementation Method

This Application basically consists of two interfaces, one android based and another one on the desktop. Android interface connected with the server through web-services and desktop dashboard also connected with server dashboard is for app owner/admin and android application is for customers.
The dashboard controls and manages all orders and handles all the requests received by the customer. Whenever any user gets registered and orders for the rented clothes, the requests show on the dashboard, and then Admin approves the request and reserved the order from the dashboard.
To order the item first the android interface gets some information from customers by asking them to upload their  CNIC number in order to keep the record of a user then it shows the list of clothing brands, items, and item prices. So, it’s become easier for customers to select the dresses from the list of the clothing brand available in the Android interface. They only need to select the dress from their desired clothing brand and selects the specific date and time to return the rented clothes. After approval of dress done by admin then the customer needs to pay the advance half payment of the dress which can be done through our online payment system and after this, the customer can pick their order from the store and other half payment will be done after purchasing the dress for rent.

Benefits of the Project

One of the best shopping is to try online rental shopping. It made our life more comfortable since we do not want to waste our time and money by entering hundreds of stores in the mall just to find the perfect dress for an occasion. So, the best idea is clothes for rent.

We feel confident by wearing a new dress on every occasion.

We will be able to try new brands and new styles every time.

Renting clothes will save space in our closet since most of us have limited closet space.

The rental model has its positives, especially when it comes to variety and savings.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

In order to make our project, the required tools are:
?    Front End: Android App / DashBoard on desktop, Android interface is used for customers, HTML, bootstrap, and CSS are used to design dashboard.
?    Back End: All the back end programming based on Java / Java Web Services used to contact android application with the server.
?    Database: MySQL is the database that stores all the relevant data of the project.
