Project Area of Specialization Electrical/Electronic EngineeringProject SummaryAs, all the previous solutions are generally operating on high cost values because they are using various RF bands which are actually more expensive. While on the hardware level they are using boards of intel and etheros on the receiver’s end and are generally more expensive. In this solution we are actually using a single commercial Wi-Fi router as a transmitter and a stan alone ESP-32 Wi-Fi module as a receiver which just costs us around a $15 for complete solution.
Project Objectives- To develope a contactless standalone device to monitor heart rate.
ESP-BEAT uses ESP-32 and a Wi-Fi AP to acquire required signal and with the help of different software tools and techniques the desired result is carried out. WIFI AP and ESP-32 will be used to generate and receive signals and those signals will be used to detect CSI (Channel State Information). After acquiring CSI our main goal is to extract our desired chunk of information from a large number of subcarriers using different techniques and filtration process. We will be following 802.11n IEEE Standard protocol. Now following is the detailed description of hardware and software tools that will be used.
Benefits of the ProjectIt is uncomfortable for Elderly People to wear gadgets every time. These gadgets can cause distress. Measuring heart rates of newborn babies with abnormal or before delivery time birth. Heart monitoring for depression control: Depression can be diagnosed with 90% accuracy based on heart rate fluctuations throughout the 24 hours. We want to develop a standalone Heart rate monitoring system that will do signal acquisition and then do signal analysis to find desired signal among the sea of signals acquired to make its real time working reliable.
