Escape Earth Vector
Project Area of Specialization Artificial IntelligenceProject SummaryThe Escape Earth; Vector Graphics Game.
The Escape Earth is a vector graphics Game developed in a latest gaming engine Unity. This type of game can be use as a simulation for various purposes like to explain the map aur type of building to the construction team so that they will have a Virtual map in their mind apart with paper map. The vector graphics have strong atmospheric feelings because it will use beam of light instead of pixels in developing of the game. Because of this technology the player will feel that he/she is playing in real environment.
This game is platformer genre game, where the goal is to reach the endpoint through obstacles and enemies in each stage. This game can run on various platforms like; Linux, Mac, Android, iOS, PlayStation and many more.
The game will have controls for the movement of the character. The player have to complete its journey with challenges without getting eliminated by the obstacles in order to win the game.
Till now my game is in 2D but in future it will be converted into HD 3D Version. Furthermore it will be available in virtual reality game where the player will enjoy it with more interest.
Project ObjectivesThe main objectives of this game are:
- Capture/destroy. Eliminate all of your enemies from the game. You must have to eliminate the enemies in order to win the game.
- Collection of LIfe awards to stay in game.
- Solve the mystery.Because every step consist of two ways; one is correct other is not.
- Escape.
- Build your strategy.
The Project Implementation method consists of following stages.
Stage 1: Prototype
-
implement core gameplay and iterate as much as possible
-
implement a tweak screen to tweak gameplay variables in realtime
-
variables like: walk speed, jump power, any timings, player damage, hp, etc
-
will make gameplay iteration much faster
Stage 2: Core
-
add all gameplay elements
-
put in basic graphics placeholders
-
will give you the idea how the game will look like when completed
-
will give you first feedback if there are any problems with presenting gameplay mechanics
-
tweak untill good
Stage 3: Support
-
implement any gameplay-supporting algorithms
-
procedural generation (terrain, situations, random encounters, enemy placement, etc)
-
implement any external tools you will need to import game content
-
importers for content (game levels, fontmaps, etc)
-
any editors you might need if nothing suitable is already available
Stage 4: Game
-
prepare all rendering and sound logic
-
prepare all user interface and menu logic
Stage 5: Content
-
create and import game content (levels, user interfaces, menus, characters, etc)
Stage 6: Presentation
-
create and import graphics and sounds
Stage 7: Polish
-
polish and tweak as much as possible
-
test on all target platforms
-
kill as many bugs as possible
-
optimize performance as needed
Some stages (like content and presentation) seem short, but are of course not.
Also, depending on the gameplay, some things need to be adjusted. If your gameplay core depends on procedural terrain for instance, implement that in prototype stage.
Benefits of the ProjectThe benefits of this project is that its uses the vector graphics in the developing of the game. The vector graphics use beam of light instead of pixels which provide it more atmospheric feeling to the player like he/she is in the part of game which they are playing. The main benefit of this type og game is it will alos used as an simulation for various purposes in engineering and construction. e.g, When an Architect Engineer designs a building so for more understanding to the construction team , the architect engineer will contact an vector graphics game developer to create the same building as an simulation or in virtual reality so when the construction team will play it so they will have more knowledge of the map as in virtual beside with only paper map.
