Project Area of Specialization Computer ScienceProject SummaryWe are going to propose a system which will recognize Quranic Verses from images and gives mistake(s) if any with complete reference from the Quran. The aim is to develop a system that will help in authentication of the Quranic verses from images in order to point out the possible mistake(s) and wrongly cited or referred text of Quran. The system will be helpful in promoting the idea of checking before believing in the name of Holy Quran.
Project ObjectivesThis system is designed to help everyone to identify and recognize what they are reading and receiving from Quran, because majority of us don’t understand Arabic language. This system will recognize Quranic verse from image, notify you all the mistakes with complete reference from Quran. We’re initiating this project to make it easy for everyone to get the basic knowledge of what they are receiving, reading and sharing from Islamic point of view.
Those people who take interest of circulating these type of stuffs regularly or sometimes on social media and among their friends now should be able to recognize what they are forwarding and can get the authentication of verse through ‘eQra’ with reference. The use of this system is very easy as system will only take one input which is the image on which Quranic verse is quoted.
"eQra" will have the following mentioned phases in order to deliver the above mentioned goals.
- First the system will remove the noise from image in order to extract all possible characters with high accuracy. Noise removing steps will be converting Red Green Blue Image to Grey Scale Image (3 Channels to 1 Channel), blurring of image, finding of interested sections in image which will be the Quranic Verse words.
- After the above process, the findings of interested sections will pass to the Deep Learning CNN Model (Convolutional Neural Network Model) to identify the characters in the interested sections.
- Then with the help of eQra's custom Quran Database, searching algorithm will find out the verse and its reference with the help of extracted characters.
The above mentioned processes are the part of eQra's backend system.
Benefits of the ProjectThe benefits of "eQra" are very clear. It will help to stop the false circulation of Quranic Verses through images in our surroundings, as because in today's world the minor things on social media take seconds to spread on all platforms.
On another side, some people love to memorize the verses of Quran. Such people don't have any platform to authenticate what they are memorizing. So this system will also help such type of people to identify the verse along with its reference.
Final deliverables of this system will be the Android App through which users can interact eQra. We wil deploy ever single thing of this system on an online server with the optimized code beacuse efficiency, accuracy and availability are the main focus of the creator of this project. Generally people don't take interest on those systems who have very complex structure and availibility issues.
