Project Area of Specialization Electrical/Electronic EngineeringProject SummaryAlthough pakistan is among those countries having strong potential for solar power generation but the plain land and dry areas where dust , constant soiling and wind storm reduces efficiency of a solar system up-to 50%. It is essential to have regular and proper cleaning of modules. It is usually done manually but it is not so scheduled, efficient and frequent. So, for easy and uniform cleaning this issue can be resolved by a fully automated solar panel cleaner with the help of image processing based algorithm, dust detection sensors ,camera surveillance and by machine learning contribution. This system can be retrofitted directly on panels in both commercial as well as residential sectors. Our FYP intends to increase the efficiency of solar panel by removing all types of dust particles.
Project Objectives•OUR AIM IS TO DESIGN A PROJECT WHICH WOULD REMOVE THE ACCUMULATED DUST ON SURFACE OF SOLAR PANEL AND WILL INCREASE ITS YEILD BY USING MICRO PROCESSING.

Project Implementation Methodthe project implementation is divided in multiple steps. the first step is hardware framework. the hardware will be adjusted mechanically and then will be connected with the motors. the motors will be moving the frame upon the panel to clean it.
one camera will be fixed at the top of the grame which will capture the images at diffrent slots of time. then the images captured by the camera will be given in input to the image processing via matlab. the matlab will compare the images and will give the results. on the basis of the results if the camera gives the dusty picture. then there will be a command from the rasberry pie coding to start the motors functionn. the motors will start running and hence the cleaning framework will clean the panel.
Benefits of the Projectthere will be diffrent benifits of this project. the project will be one time installment. the user will get the ease while this project will do the work automatically.
the project will be cost effective. as if a person is installing a panel array of 2 lacs. he will consider to give it automatically cleaning.
this project will give the ease that it will prevent the user to get the physical harm. the user will not have to go to their roofs to clean this sytem. so the user will be harmless.
the project will be beneficial for the market. the users will consider it to get the ease to clean their panels automatically. so there will be selling demand of this project. users will invest to get this comfert then this is will be a marketing appreciating project
Technical Details of Final Deliverabletechnicallly this project be consisted of a main frame . the main frame will be attached with the motors and the moving bearings which will move across the panel. the power system will be in a separate box aside with the frame. which will have a power supply in it . and in other box there will be a small water storage which will provide the water suppray while spraying at the panel with the help of a water pump.
