Summary

The Brain Computer Interfaces (BCI) are devices allowing direct communication between the brain of a user and a machine. This technology can be used by disabled people in order to improve their independence and maximize their capabilities such as finding an object in the environment. Such devices can be realized by the non-invasive measurement of information from the cortex by Electroencephalography (EEG).

Being able to noninvasively control robotic devices using only thoughts will have broad applications, in particular benefiting the lives of paralyzed patients and those with movement disorders.

BCIs have been shown to achieve good performance for controlling robotic devices using only the signals sensed from brain implants. When robotic devices can be controlled with high precision, they can be used to complete a variety of daily tasks. Until now, however, BCIs successful in continuously controlling robotic arms have used invasive brain implants.

In our project objectives are use EEG Tappers that is used for collect the signals from brain, Arduino module & Arduino Uno and also use brain waves sensors by using PyCharm.

BCI systems is data collection through electrodes over the scalp. In the process of acquisition, the EEG signal is usually contaminated with noise, which comes from different sources. These artifacts can be originated form eye-blinking (EOG), electrocardiogram (ECG), artifacts of movements (EMG), and any external source related with the devices involved in the system.

Benefits of the Project

Benefits 

When we are working with the signals of EEG, sometimes those persons disabled by arms or legs or specially those who are the victim of paralyze attack. A new system will design if their EEG signals are coming from brain but not receive by arms or legs. So, they will get a new organ that will work like a natural human organ.

Related work according to our project is there are many projects in the world that are based on EEG brain readings, medical diagnoses, playing games, flying quadcopter and others available in the market. Our project is based on purely working on EEG signals based Controlled arm.
