Project Summary
Easy Journey project is developed to automate Bus transport operation like payment, track the bus etc. Easy Journey mobile application use to maintain transaction record. Using this system admin can add buses. And Passenger can see bus location through GPS. Passenger can select his desired Bus and Seat. Passenger can search a bus by selecting bus company name or by searching pick/drop point in a route or automatically with his GPS location.
Nowadays a lot of people are busy with their work. Most of the time they use is in front the computer. Computer is a most important thing in our life. Internet is one of the parts too. Every house they will have internet because it will be more easy for them to do some research, e-payment, e-banking, e-shop or any online booking to do a ticket reservation or an accommodation reservation. With wide use of internet, a lot of online shopping, online business, and online booking website are developing to ease the user to do their work. User just need to use few finger click then can buy all the things their need to. With this few finger click user not need to queue up for a long time to pay for the goods at the cashier.
In existing system bookme.pk, easyticket.pk there are various problems like keeping records of items, seats available, prices of per/seat and fixing bill generation on each bill and also finding out details regarding any information is very difficult, as the user has to go through all the books manually and search for the records by spending much of time by doing that.
The major problem was lack of security because someone can easily come and take up all the paperwork that is been kept in a file and go with. With this existing low priority in terms of exchanging of data within a short period of time, given the scale of their operation, the majority of them do not offer computerized ticketing or reservations most of them are using counter to go and purchase tickets.
Project Objectives
This project seeks to meet the following objectives:
- Being able to search the required bus via mobile application,
- Having a reserved seat in the bus in advance via mobile app will ensure them a comfortable journey.
- Live GPS track of bus will solve this problem of the passenger.
- Passengers being able to select any seat through our software will automate the manual seating allocation by the bus conductor.
- Getting daily, weekly or monthly e- report of sales of all the buses will improve the company status in market and the bus manager will have time for other important functions of the company.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable
The major achievement in our eyes is the level of understanding we developed through the course of development. We as a team worked closely on all the aspects of software engineering to make this project worthwhile. Moreover, we learnt a lot along the process while we were working on our project.
