Advanced Home Automation System
As the technology is growing by leaps and bounds at the speed of light everyday, so the home conventional setup of electrical appliances is getting much more smarter approach. Various terminologies are used to describe the same concept of appliances to be controlled remotely or via an Desktop application. Some of these terms are "Home Automation", "Smart Home", and "Intelligent Home " etc.
In this project we will develop an application which will provide the user with facility to configure appliances of the home in a much more smarter manner. After that he will be able to control the appliance either by using desktop application for local control or by using a Bluetooth/wifi enabled smartphone to control the appliances remotely. In the desktop version the user will be provided with a number of ways he/she can control the appliances than that of by using a smart phone.
The objectives of the project are:
1)- Low cost , and reliable system.
2)- Helpful for the elderly or physically handicapped persons
3)- Efficiency and effectiveness
4)- Reduced high energy consumption
5)- Remote Control of Appliances
6)- Better user experience
The project will be implemented using a plan driven approach. We will use the Waterfall model for developing such a project as our requirements are not going to be changed during the whole life cycle of the project. First of all we will develop static requirements, doing Analysis, design , implementation, testing and maintenance.

1)- The user will be provided with the combination of software and hardware.
2)- A proper user manual will also be provided.
3)- A short demo video clip of the project can also be handed over to the user covering each aspect of the project.
