This will be a web-based project; an e-Tendering System will replace these manual paper-based tender processes with electronically facilitated processes based on best tendering practices to save time and money. Buyers are able to manage the tenders coming in, with all tenders stored in one place. E-Tendering System offers an opportunity for automating most of the tendering process from help with preparing the tender specification, advertising, tender aggregation, to the evaluation and placing of the contract.

Tendering is a process whereby the principal invites capable tenderers to participate in a competitive bid to winning a large project. As electronic-based tendering (e tendering) increases in efficiency and effectiveness, this system has been introduced and adopted in many countries. However, the implementation of e-tendering still remains uncertain especially in defining the functional requirements of the e-tendering system. As a result, the study of the functional requirements specification, we develop an e-tendering system effectively.

Project Objectives

The primary objective of the project is to create a favorable image of the organization
by improving transparency and accountability in the public procurement process. The
following is the summary of objectives for the project.
