Dual Axis Solar Tracker
Project Area of Specialization Electrical/Electronic EngineeringProject Summary- A dual-axis tracker can increase energy by tracking sun rays from switching solar panel in various directions. This solar panel can rotate in all directions.
- According to the type of axis, the dual-axis tracking device can be divided into two types: polar-axis tracking and altitude–azimuth tracking. Polar-axis tracking is also called spinning-elevation tracking.
- Trackers generate more electricity than their stationary counterparts due to increased direct exposure to solar rays. This increase can be as much as 10 to 25% depending on the geographic location of the tracking system.
- We will track the sun direction according to current date, time, latitude and longitude.
- The solar panels ensure that the maximum amount of solar energy is captured into the panel by continuously keeping the panel surface perpendicular to rays of the sun, in other words by facing towards the sun.
- Our Solar panels would move in two axis to get correct position.
- First we start structure work metalic base plate designe and wooden boad
- After that we install servo motors and other module on our structure
- We did programing work
- in last we test our project working.
- Can give 40% more electricity than a non moving solar panel.
- Higher degree of flexibility, allowing for a higher energy output on sunny days.
- Higher degree of accuracy in directional pointing.
- Extra production related to fixed solar system.
