Project Area of Specialization RoboticsProject SummaryA drone light show is the use of multipleunmanned aerial vehicles (drones), oftenquadcopters, flying in a coordinated fashion for public display. They are usually equipped withLEDs, and the display is held at night. The first drone display was presented in 2012 in Linz/Austria, where the AR’s Electronica Future lab introducedSPAXELS (short for "space elements") for the first time. The displays may be for entertainment, where the drones may useflocking orswarming behavior. The drones may also be coordinated to produce images. Using thisemerging technology, displays have been employed for advertising purposes as well.
Intel has produced theShooting Star, a type of drone used in light shows. They were used during the 2018 Winter Olympics, a Super Bowl halftime show in 2017, and a 2018 4 July celebration.
Drone light shows differ from fireworks displays in that drones are reusable, and do not produce air and noise pollution. However, drone displays cannot take place during rain or strong winds.
This Project will cost arround 2 to 2.5 lacs total or may be more then that. So, the remaining amount will be managed by our team members.
- To Study the handling of multiple drones at a time
- To Drive the flight-path planning
- To Develop an intelligent lightening Drone swarming
- To Protect the system in an obstacle-rich environment.
- To achieve the pattern making mechanism for both social and defense purpose.
The model to be used while working on the project is the Iterative Model because even though the requirements of the complete project are clearly defined and understood by the team.
However there will still be some enhancements to the functionalities and operations that will need our attention with the flow of time.

As the world is working on this technology (Drone Swarming) and some of the companies already made it possible and doing great
It is believed that Drone Light Shows which will eventually replace the fire shows and can reduce the Carbon Emission in Pakistan on many events.
Our aim is to start with 2d Drone Light show and then continue our research on 3d Drone Light Shows adeployments
As a product, we are looking for support in establising our own Pakistani Drone Light Show Company and compete with the international companies.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableThe final deliverable of this project will be a group of drone’s synced with each other will fly in a series path then at certain height the drone’s will get stand-by in air and then the selected light’s under the drones will switched on.
