Diagnosis of Liver Diseases based on Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare
Pakistan is country where mortality rate due to different diseases increases day-by-day due to negligence or lack of expertise to determine the disease. In these different diseases, diseases related to liver are also important to address them in time accurately. In Pakistan, Mortality rate due to liver diseases is 2.56% or deaths are about 31,780/year. So this project proposed a model to timely address the liver conditions by the help of AI algorithms based on deep neural networks structure.Current way of liver diseases diagnosis is based on liver biopsy or ultrasound/CT-scan imaging and then an expert doctor is needed to timely determine what exactly happened with the patient? Unfortunately, in remote areas it is very difficult for the patients to get properly examine about their liver health due to unavailability of experienced staff there. Most of the serious cases are addressed with negligence which often leads to death of the patient. Therefore, an accurate diagnosis of liver diseases remains a notable demand. For this purpose, we are working with AI in healthcare on liver diseases to timely address the current scenario.
To help the patients and doctors to examine the liver health.
To change the current time taking ways of examining the liver diseases i-e biopsy method/ultrasound etc.
To make more accurate imaging diagnosis and also reduce the doctor’s workload.
First of all, we have a detailed literature review by research papers and articles regarding our project as directed by our supervisor. Then we have searched different kinds of datasets online which contains liver diseases images. We will use these images to train our model. We have to use python language in Jupiter notebook software to use machine learning algorithms. Then we have to classify the available images datasets into two general stages and make their respective folders. Then we will use deep convolution neural networks algorithms to train our model on the images datasets of liver diseases. We will train our model on these different classified datasets folders and test the accuracy of our model. In this way our model will go smoothly towards the efficiency by testing it on more and more images.
It will help the patients and doctors to examine the liver health on time and it will change the current time taking ways of examining the liver diseases i-e biopsy method/ultrasound etc.
It will also make more accurate imaging diagnosis and reduce the doctor’s workload.
This project will technically helpfull in ultrasound or ct scan imaging of liver. This proposed model will be used in future within ultrasound or ct scan machines with the help of a mobile app or website to directly determine the liver stage and to reduce workload of doctors as well as patie t will get to know about their health in time.
