Development of Game based on Gesture Controls
Project Area of Specialization Artificial IntelligenceProject SummaryThis project is an example of Human Computer Interaction. This project has ability to recognize and interpret movements of the human body in order to interact with and control a games without direct physical contact. This project aims to develop games to enhance experience of player wihout using Keyboard and digital joysticks. Gesture will be performed by two methods First by wearing a Wearable embedded with sensors secondly using Vision Based framework use pose detection. Then gestures will introduced in game to provide user a completely different experience and change the prespective of playing games.
Project ObjectivesThis project has following objective
- Development of an interactive game
- Develop an accelerometer based framework to perform gesture controls
- Develop an IoT based framework to perform gestures using wearables (i.e. Metawear sensors)
- Develop A vision based framework to perform gestures
- Integration of Wearables and poses with the game
- To develop a game control with gestures of human player with out any physical controller
Our Project Implementation methodology comprises following phases:
1. Research
In this phase, we have studied literature, learn about already existing techniques, how can we improve them and how can we proposed new techniques. We use primary data and perform qualitative research.
2. Survey
In this phase we asked people what can be their expectation?s after hearing project title. What they expect, Which improvements they want in already existing systems. We used Probablity sampling in this case to select participants, take multiple choice.
3. Implementation
In this phase we used phased operation
In intial implementation we select participants by probablity sampling and collect data from sensors in noiseless and noisy environment
In final implementation we are working to fulfill our objectives
Benefits of the ProjectThe system is useful for players who may have injury or factures. The user can be able to perform multiple function using gesture with same gestures. This will provide a better interaction and a better perception to players and make it more interesting to play the games.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableThe final deliverable will be framework to perform gestures and a game that can be controlled through the gestures of player.
