Project Area of Specialization Internet of ThingsProject SummaryReal time monitoring of water system of any commercial and non commercial building or house. Such as monitoring water tank level through ultra sonic sensor, checking water flow through the pipelines and leakage if any however it must be a major one, using flow sensors And controlling of all the taps(On and Off) using Solenoid valve. Everything will be monitored and controlled by user using mobile application.
Project Objectives- To prevent water wastages by regular monitoring of water pipelines, water tank and water taps.
- Major cause of water wastage is leaked pipeline and uncontrolled water flow in desired taps.
- This system enables the user to monitor the water level of the water tank and any leakage in water tanks.
At implementation phase :
- Designing(complete PCB) & module.
- Hardware coding.
WORKING :
Ultrasonic Sensor :
- Is measuring the level of water in the tank, fixed at the top.
- Shows reading in both LCD and Aurdino Serial Monitor in liters and cubic centimeters.
Solenoid Valve :
- Solenoid valve used in switching on and off the water tap by using a 2 – relay module with 12 volts(3 amperes) with the help of buck converter.
Water Flow Sensor :
- It is fixed at the start of the pipe and ends at the end of the pipe, and is used to measure the flow of water moving out of the tank.
- While showing the readings at Arduino serial monitor and LCD.
ESP 32 :
- The microcontroller used to control all the sensors and controllers to collect data from sensors and give results. It also contains a WI-FI shield which later on fetches and post data on firebase.
- Mobile Application show the stats of all the hardware at real-time.
- This system enables the user to monitor the water level of the water tank and any leakage in water tanks.
