Citrus, a highly prized and remunerative fruit, is cultivated almost all over the world. Citrus fruits include oranges, mandarins (Kino), grapefruit and lemons, of which mandarins (Kino) is of significance to Pakistan[1]. Pakistan is the largest producer of Kino in the whole world. Currently, in Pakistan citrus fruits (primarily Kinnow) are grown on an area of 206,569 hectares with production of 2.36 million tonns. They are widely cultivated fruits in the world with areas under cultivation and production increasing greatly from 2000 - 2010. Citrus is ranked world number 21st in Pakistan w.r.t its area and production among fruits.

The objective of the project is to use artificial intelligence and image processing techniques for identification of the citrus plants. Moreover the proposed system will help in diagnosing and recognition of citrus disorders in citrus plants, and after that we will suggest a treatment to overcome that disease .this project is done with the help of department of soil sciences.

Project Implementation Method

We are going to use incremental-model

If we talk about the IOT Based work methodology then,

The  proposed  framework  comprises  of  temperature, dampness, and shading sensors for gathering information from plant leaves  dependent on variety in temperature,  mugginess and shade of plant leaves. The information gathered from the leaves  comprises  of  current  ecological  variables  like

temperature,  moistness and shading. The progressions that a plant experiences are caught by the

Temperature moistness and shading sensors and dissected with  the  Raspberry Pi  programming.  The  information  gathered with  .temperature,  moistness  as  well  as  shading  sensor  are

We are going to develop Android App using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and image processing techniques using IOT Based hardware and sensors that can provide complete solution to the citrus growers of Pakistan for accurately categorizing citrus varieties, diagnosing nutritional disorders, disease and pest damages, recognizing fruit harvesting stages and fruit grades, along with suggestions for improvement, it will also have admin side web app so that admin can change the content of Android app as well as web app, any time he wants to.
