detecting and minimizing electricity theft

The project is based on minimizations of power theft from WAPDA through RF transmission and Web applications. We have to design two applications, one for consumer and another for service provider. Both the parties will communicate through wireless connections.

Project Objectives

To minimize electricity theft

To control electricity theft using observer meter

To identify the theft if user partially by passed  the meter

Project Implementation Method

An observer meter will be installed on the secondary side of step down transformer which will measure the total power consumption of each phase. 

Each of the enery meter of consumer side will transmit data to the observer meter through RF connection. 

Observer meter will further send the data to the web of the WAPDA which will be continiously checked by the engineer.

No theft in the electricity

Proper revenue generation through getting exact readings

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Hardware: Observer meter, step down transformer, energy meter, RF modules.

Software: Consumer and service provider Applications, Website for service provider.
