Project Objectives

To develop a cost effective solar thermal power plant which is capable of producing 2Kw power.The whole system include a solar concentrator, heat exchanger, condensor, superheater, turbine, alternator. The solar concentrator is a parabolic trough made of highly reflective material and a reciever, all the sun rays incident on the concentrator are reflected back to receiver and they raise temperature of the fluid inside it convert it into steam. the steam is then use to run the turbine which run the alternator and produces electricity. the ,ain objective of this project is to produce electricity with minimum losses and low cost.
