Design And Implementation of an IoT Based Control System for Home Appliances and Home Wiring Trainer is a project which is divided into two parts mainly A) Design of IOT based control system and Android App B) Design of Home Wiring Trainer.

So in the project shows how you can control your home appliances from anywhere in world using Android App over internet. Which          will not only refers to reduce human efforts but also plays vital role to save energy, time, and will help handicapped and old aged people to control home appliances.  IoT based control system in this project uses ESP8266 Wi-Fi board and relay board for controlling and monitoring numbers of Appliances like fans, air condition, watching machines, micro-oven, light bulbs and many others appliances of a home. The Android App in this system will send command to ESP8266 Wi-Fi module which is IoT based support, to control all appliances from any location. Along with controlling another feature of this IoT based system is that it will tell current status of appliances from our android mobile phone. Along with controlling system in the project the Home Wiring Trainer for Labs is a helpful for students and users to get familiar with home wiring as this product will provide a realistic wiring environment to users which will allow learning and practicing electrical wiring and home wiring skills. The Trainer in the project consist of Single Phase Energy Meter, Main circuit breaker (MCB), Circuit breakers (CB), Controlling Switches, Tube Light with Choke, Regulated Switch, Ceiling Fan, Universal sockets , Two-Way Switch, Voltmeter, Ammeter, test points are provided to measure voltage and current at different points.

Project Objectives Project Implementation Method

1) IoT Based Control System

It consists ESP8266  Wi-Fi module for wireless control for the appliances with high voltage realys  and Application will be developed . Android App will have complete home wiring system view for interactive control.

2) Home Electrical Wiring

It consists of Single Phase Energy Meter, Main circuit breaker(MCB),Circuit breaker (CB), Change Over, Controlling Switches, Voltmeter and Ammeter, Tube Light with Choke, Light Sockets, Universal sockets, Regulated Switch, Ceiling Fan.ALL components of trainer assembled in one box.

Smart control system will provide IoT based controlling of appliances from anywhere in world which will safe time, save energy, provides convenience and cost efficiency and allows you to be worry-free.

Integration of system with Android App get you the ability to control appliances from any location with the touch of a button. This allows you to ensure that the lights and appliances are turned Off/On at right time, to save on electricity. 

Home Electrical Wiring Training System product will assists students to get familiar with home wiring circuits as well as basic electrical wiring. As this product will provide a realistic training environment which will allows learners to learn and practice electrical wiring like: parallel & serial connections, installing wiring into different switches, measurement of consume power, analyzation of ammeter and voltmeters reading, understanding the importance of correct wiring and insulation. 

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The project on which we will be working for our final year Design And Implementation of an IoT Based Control System for Home Appliances and Home Wiring Trainer  will be submitted to the ISRA university in fully working condition with Thesis report.
