Design and implement a single phase bidirectional energy meter
There are two main concepts that are proposed in this project i.e. net metering using green energy and data analysis of appliances to introduce the idea of reactive power tariff in the electricity bill due to usage of high inductive and non-standard appliances. We design master ad slave meter in which master meter can be used for bi directional net energy metering so that we know how many energy consumed from either side of meter but slave meter can be used for data analysis of load and find power quality using harmonics.
The objective is to design a device that monitors power quality parameters of any connected appliance to introduce tariff for reactive energy consumed to minimize the use of non-standardize appliances and energy wastage.
Secondly move towards green energy utilization using solar instead of non-renewable energy resources.
In the master node which is bidirectional meter, we measured the voltages and currents at the both ends of the sources. These values send to the microcontroller and then we calculate the active and reactive power of the load. Also tells the direction of the current which can be drawn by the load.
In the slave node, we measured the voltage and current.The values send to the microcontroller and then we calculate the active and reactive power of the load.Also data analysis of harmonics of connected load. Also the communication of master node to slave node.
The main aim of this project is to measure current,voltage and power flow direction so this can be achieved by using below mentioned method.
