Project Summary

To solve these issues we want to design and fabricate stair climbing wheelchair that is able to move stairs as well as on ground surface

In previous project on stairclimbing wheel chair yhre were lot of issues like heavy load,seat balencing issuees.

We want to resolve all of these issues in our project.

Project Objectives

To design and fabricate wheelchair that will remove on plain as well as on stairs
To remove the jerks that were mainly happening in 1st phase of the project.
Improving the seat balancing mechanism and maintain smoothness.
Control rear motor as well as tilt angle to ensure system stability.
Having maximum load bearing capacity and reduce weight of the wheelchair

Project Implementation Method

First of all we deaign our project on solidworks and the method we have choosen is belt and pulley mechanism. Rare shaft will be driven with the help of motor powered through DC battery and then power will transfer to the pulleys and belts. After solidworks procedure ansys will help for the simulation and after all our satisfaction we will fabricate our final product

Benefits of the Project

It will help alot to shift physically disabled patient in hospitals as well as in houses. It will also minimize the construction of ramps in hospitals. Power requirements cost and weight are less as well so that's why we are willing to fabricate this type of automatic wheelchair

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Stair climbing wheelchair is powered through DC battery and belt and pulleys mechanism is used in this project which will help alot to shift physically disabled patient through one place to another.
