Design and Fabrication of Automatic white board cleaner system
The proposed project involves the design and fabrication of an Automatic White Board Cleaner System. This project has the ability to automatically clean the white board by using lead screw mechanism. The design of the project is carried out in CAD Software (Creo 5.0) and the fabrication is done by using Melamine Sheet. The project consists of four lead screws which are separately connected with bushes and metal rods. The lead screws are placed inside an external frame which is mounted on the top of the white board. For clarity, four DC power window motors are used which are individually connected with switches. The motors are used for the rotation of the lead screws. These motors are driven by using two motor drivers and are controlled by using microcontroller (STM32F103C8T6). The LCD is installed on the top right corner of the whiteboard showing the cleaning status of the white board.
The main objective of this project is to automatically erase the white board. The proposed white board is divided into four sections. Each section contains a separate lead screw. The bushes and metal rods are connect with each lead screw and the duster is connect with each metal rod. To rotate the lead screws, four DC Power window motors are separately connect with each lead screw. The motors are driven by using two motor drivers and the microcontroller (STM32F103C8T6) is used to control these motors. For the sake of clarity, four swichtes are connected to turn ON/OFF the motors. For erasing any particular section, the corresponding switch will be turn ON and the corresponding motor will be active for erasing that section. Furthermore, a special type switch known as a double pole double throw switch is used to turn ON /OFF all the motors simultaneously. The main purpose of using a double pole double throw switch is that it will turn ON/OFF all DC power window motors and erase the complete white board.
