RotiMAK is the Final Year Student Project of Mechanical Engineering Student of Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro.
The automatic roti machine that we are going to develop is named as RotiMAK. This machine will be fully automated. There are many parts and sections of this machine that we are going to add to this machine.
The first and the most complex part of RotiMAK is dough making. The dough making process is the very first step in any kind of roti making process. For the dough making we need the proper ratio of ingredients; Water, oil and wheat flour. For the proper flow of these ingredients, we are using an advanced hopper mechanism, for proper flow of flour, water, and oil we use the stepper motor with a proper time delay with computer programming.
Then the second step is to flow the developed dough to the heating source; an electric pan for that an ejection system is to be installed at the dough making process. Also, that dough ejection can be done by a stepper motor.
The third step is to design the heating area where roti must bake at a high temperature of about 230-250 o C. The temperature of that pan is also controlled. At the same place where roti will be baked. The flat press mechanism will be installed that will press the ball of dough to prepare the perfect and plan round roti. The designed value for the roti making process id 1 MPM (meal per minute).
There are many processes that will occur simultaneously, and this will be done by high-quality algorithms and programming. This totally depends upon Artificial Intelligence.
This machine is designed in order to facilitate mothers, sisters, and housewives. The rotis are still mostly baked by conventional methods and it took longer for our mothers, wives, and sisters to bake roti for the whole family. In order to reduce human efforts, we are interested to work for the betterment of society and want to develop a machine that bakes roti automatically.
It is a machine that will run on electricity. This machine performs all the process by itself from dough making to the baking of Chapati, there are four processes on which this machine will work that are; dough making, rolling dough, pressing the dough and baking Chapati.
The purpose of this machine is to reduce human efforts and to reduce the workload of mothers, wives, working women. The main objectives are mentioned below;

Object 2. To develop an algorithm to perform all the action automatically
Object 3. Reduce human efforts to cook the meal
Object 4. Save time for cooking
The very first and difficult part of the project dough making process. It needs a proper proportion of ingredients for making a perfect ball of dough for the baking of roti. The dough making process is to do within a small container, where the predefined amount of ingredients (water, oil, and flour) mixed together by rotor run by a motor. An algorithm is set for the proper time delay for the running of the motor to make a dough. When the dough is ready an ejection mechanism is installed that ejects the dough for further process.
When the dough is ready and shifted for baking, before heating it a flat press mechanism is installed that flatten the round ball of dough. In the proper dimension of roti and then heating is provided to bake the roti.
The main part of roti making is project is heating elements and heating process. The controlled heating system is used to bake the roti. The baking temperature is ranged from 230 to 250 centigrade. The flat press mechanism presses the dough in two steps in order properly puff the roti and in proper dimensions, then puffed roti is ejected.
This is fully automated machine uses a highly precise and accurate control system to perform the actions from dough making process to completely puffed roti. For the control system, it uses a 32-bit microcontroller and more than 15 sensors that provide the feedback at every measurable point. And the algorithms are designed in python language.
