Our aim is to design a system based on Artificial Intelligence that will predict whether the soil is fertile that is it is suitable for plantation or not & then plant seeds if the soil is fertile.
Our aim is to design a neural network based aerial soil fertility detector which will observe the soil if it is fertile or not, if the soil is fertile it will drop seeds. This aerial vehicle is capable to do seed throwing mechanism autonomously because there is a Artificial Intelligence running on the backend which will decide if the soil is fertile or barren.
This device will greatly reduce the time, man power and the capital required to test the soil and hold a plantation drive consisting of manual labour.
First,we will build an aerial vehicle.Then we will design a NEURAL NETWORK based Algorithm that will predict the fertility of the soil then we will build a seed throwing mechanism that will spread seeds on the ground.Finally we will mount seed throwing machine on our Aerial Vehicle & then connect the Neural Network with Seed Throwing Machine such that if the Algorithm detects that the Soil is fertile then it will throw seeds.
Our project has vast application which manifests it's significance like:
1)Efficient tree plantation to counter deforestation.
2)This project could save fuel consumption.
3)It can use in agriculture sector for sowing seeds and for 4)Plantation purpose through Artificial Intelligence. It can be modified to form a remote soil and land analyzing system.
Hardware will consists of Drone mounted with Seed Throwing Mechanism which will have following specfications:
1)Flight time will be 8-10 minutes or might be more than 10 minutes.
2)Ariel Vehicle will be a Quad Copter.
A seed Throwing mechanism will be formed which will be connected with Raspberry Pi 3.In Respberry Pi there will be Neural Network Algorithm will be running through TensorFlow library to which we will provide a database.There will be Pi camera attached which will send pictures of Soil to the Pi which will match the picture with that in the database and predict whether the soil is fertile or not based on the Algorithm.Finally it will give signal to the Seed Throwing mechanism which then throw the seeds.
