Project Objectives

The need to design a landing gear with minimum weight, minimum volume, high performance improve life, and reduce life cycle cost poses many challenges. Further, the design and development cycle time of landing gear should be compressed to reduce costs and to bring the product to market faster. These challenges are met, while adhering to all regulatory requirements of safety, by employing advanced technologies, materials, processes, analysis, and production methods.

Project Implementation Method

In the landing gear assembly of an aircraft, the torque links connect the two telescoping cylinders and prevent the relative rotation of the piston to maintain the wheel alignment during taxiing on the ground.

However, it contributes to the dead weight during the flight of the aircraft. Thus, reducing the weight of the torque link will turn down the overall weight of the aircraft. This can improve fuel economy which in turn will benefit the aviation industry marketable. The door’s system is installed to achieve the best aerodynamics for fuel economy.

Then we use the software-based in which coding is used in running the command circuit, by Arduino software.

Benefits of the Project

This will be beneficial for the general aviation industry for fuel economy as well as performance. This is utilized in a small RC plane.
