Design and Development of Device for Elbow Angle Measurement of bowler during Bowling
A portable device/band that will consist of the combination of resistive/motion sensors along with microcontroller. This device can be use to measure the elbow angle of bowler during bowling and can be use for rectification of the bowling angle. Comfort and safety of the subject is our higher priority.
Current availble methods of measuring bowling action cost millions to the bowlers, so not every person can afford this. This device enables the bowlers to analyze their bowling action cost effectively.
The objective of this project is to manufacture a device that can measure the elbow angle of bowler during bowling. We are targeting the people from grass root level and we know that most of the people belong to poor family and they cannot afford the cost of bowling action assesment (that occurs in million rupees approximately), So it is assured that the assessment will be economical plus time efficient.
Project Implementation:
Project implementation done in the following way
1) Taking the data from the subjects and then compare it with authenticated way(can be a camera system or goniometer)
2) Taking the feedback from the subjects so that we can know whether our device is comfortable for the bowlers or not or how we can make it comfortable for bowler
3) Introducing it in club level so that club cricketers can analyze their action
4) Contact to PCB to introduce the device at national level

Final device consist of a wearable band in which sensors will be placed,
The sensors will be connected to microcontroller that will be either on back or on waist along with battery that will supply the power to sensors and microcontroller.
The data will be saved either on sd card or it will be seen directly through wifi communication on laptop/mobile
