Project Objectives

The number of blind persons in Pakistan in the year 2020 will be 2.4 million.The recognition of currency is a very important need for Blind and visually impaired people. Blind people faced transection problem with someone as they are not being able to differentiate between currencies correctly. It is very easy for them to be cheated by the others.so there is a need of a application which helps the visully impaired people in order to detect the value of currency in voice form(output).

Benefits of the Project

from that system the person( visually impaired) is now able to transect with someone by capturing the image from mobile camera through this app by giving command to the app " open the camera".

Without any fear the person can transect with someone eaisly.

The perosn is now satisfied with this app 

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

This app totally helps visually impaired people the app capture the image by a command is recognized by voice recognition and that is “open the camera” after that captured image passes through different phases one is image processing then after uses of different functionalities of images processing the image is now ready for matching with data set images which is the machine learning phase here the output the blind person obtained from that app in voice form. The System has been written in python and open CV library under android platform.
