Today, organizations in both public and private sectors have become increasingly dependent on electronic data processing. This digital data is going through a channel that is less secure from one place to another and anyone can easily get those important data without the concerns of the sender. So, protecting these important data(Speach Voice) is a crucial task in data communication and Cryptography is one of the best ways to protect our Speech Voice from unauthorized access. The Process of Cryptography is used to encrypt and then decrypt speech signals. We want to create a project that could achieve that objective

The theme of the Project:

The cryptography of real-time encryption/decryption of Voice signal using FPGA and  AES is key encryption and decryption that secures the information of Speech Voice. In the proposed method voice signal is firstly digitized, encrypted, and sent through a transmission medium. we use the Xilinx platform for this project. This idea demonstrates the good security of the proposed systems, which enables their utilization in speech telecommunication. The main theme of this project is to improve the current process of data security

The need for Design:

Our goal is to develop real-time encryption/decryption of Voice signal for secured communication using a field-programmable gate array (FPGA) embedded based. FPGA is an efficient device for encryption this idea demonstrates the good security of the proposed systems, which enables their utilization in speech telecommunication and demonstrates the security and privacy of high interest in speech communication. Thus it can provide security for secure voice communication among the branches of an enterprise.

Project Objectives

Following are the objects that we want to achieve through this project:

  • To develop a secured real-time voice communication system using FPGA.
  • To protect digital data (Voice/Speech) while transmitting from one place to another.
  • To give the concept of Cryptography using FGPA.
  • To protect private information, sensitive data, and can enhance the security of communication between client apps and servers.

Project Implementation Method

Artix-7 FPGAs are used for design at the transmitter and receiver sides.
Firstly, voice data is captured by the microphone sensor. we use the   ADMP421 microphone sensor.
The ADMP421 has a MIC for sensed the human voice data, ADC for converting the voice data as a digital format from analog data, and the PDM modulator that is used for modulating the digital voice data
In the second step, the digitally modulated data is contained as a data frame format so, data has divided into some frames for encryption. 
In the third step, the 128 bits keys encryption is done by the FPGA board. finally, the encrypted data is sent wirelessly by an RF-based Pmod trans receiver module
In the receiver side module. Firstly, the transmitted signal received by an RF-based trans receiver module and which is fed to the decryption block 
In the second step, the decryption block decrypts the received signal by applying the public key that is provided at the encryption processes. In the third steps, signal reconstruction is done
. And finally, after reconstruction of the signal is fed to the PWM block which is converted to the analog signal from a digital data frame

the safety of data is highly necessarily a requirement in communication For this purpose encryption of data can help with these problems
Encryption techniques can guard the information and communication against unauthorized revelation and access to information

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

We will use the Artix-7 FPGA board. 
The algorithm for encryption and decryption will be designed in Verilog and VHDL, and after that, we will use the IEE 802.15.4™ 2.4 GHz RF transceiver module for RF communication.
We will use ADMP421 which has a MIC for sensed the human voice data, ADC for converting the voice data as a digital format from analog at the transmitter side.
