While browsing facebook groups we found a group where people of Karachi reported their lost valuables within the city but the group was full of political posts, and other news so for a person it was hard to navigate and to avoid these locations. So we decided to make this application where users can pinpoint and mark the location where the valuables were snatched.

Project Objectives

The app is aimed to provide it’s user to navigate the streets avoiding danger areas marked by other users from whom their valuables were snatched. The user whose valuables were snatched can mark that location on the app so it can be avoided by other users to feel more safe. Moreover, the app can also mark location and record video at the time of snatching in order to mark that spot right then and there for other users.

Project Implementation Method

The project is implemented with a android application as well as a police portal in the form of web application. The main features present in the mobile application are mark mugged activity , plan route , Sos generation at the time of any unusual event. The police portal is implemented as it contains all the mugged activity of the mobile from the database as well as charts of total crime reported through the app. The Police portal contains each location where users was mugged from as well as video of the sos generation feature

Benefits of the Project

By using our application user's can report their snatched mobile phones or other accessories by the help of the mark mugged activity feature. These reports are shared live with the police by the help of our web application. The user can also use the genereate sos feature at the time of mugging by pressing volume down button on the anroid device to quickly mark the current location, record some second of footage of  and upload all these to the police portal

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The application uses google maps Api , google directions api , google places api to integrate the map feature more feasible and easier for the user. We are also using a database to store all the data of user such as their reported crimes , their information. These database are shared with the police portal which we then use to alert the police of latest crimes happening in the city
