Project Summary

An automatic change over is designed primarily to disconnect load from its power source and transfer it to a standby source say generator or on UPS in case there is a power outage. The switching process is done in a controlled manner so as to prevent the mal-operation of generator at very short power
outages. Once the supply is restored, the load is transferred back to mains supply. The entire process is controlled by a control unit that keeps sensing to detect that whether the main supply is available or not. The main aim to make it in very cost effective manner using IoT so it is accessible to everyone easily there are three sources WAPDA,UPS and Generator. These sources are supplying power to the Changeover which is controlled by IoT module  getting signals from mobile application. Depending upon the input by the user on mobile application the supply is given to the loads. It is also decided on which source we want to shift if WAPDA supply is off.

Project Objectives

The objective of project is to make Automatic Changeover using IoT and make it cost effective so that project must be economical and can be accessed by every person from every where easily.

Project Implementation Method

The methodology can be divided into four steps:
• Design and simulation of electronic circuit in Proteus.
• Android Application development.
• Programming of Esp 32 
• Router Configuration for IoT Implementation.
• Setting sequencing for deployment in real time IoT environment
By following these steps we will make a Changeover that is controlled by a mobile through an application. We use the ESP 32  to control the system with help of IoT Based Changeover. The prototype of project includes a plug-in or plug-out facility so, we can take it to anywhere with ease there are three sources WAPDA,UPS and Generator. These sources are supplying power to the Changeover which is controlled by IoT module getting signals from mobile application. Depending upon the input by the user on mobile application the supply is given to the loads. It is also decided on which source we want to shift if WAPDA supply is off.

Benefits of the Project

Nowadays, we have remote controls for our television sets and other  electronic systems, which have made our lives really easy. Have we ever wondered about Changeover IoT based which would give the facility to change the WAPDA switch into generator? This all thing is  controlled Internet based? Off course Yes! But, Is there any available options of cost-effective?
If the answer is No, we have found a solution to it. We have come up with a new system calledCost effective IoT Based Changeover. It can give the user, ability to controlit easily by sitting in the room without even going to and start a generator when light has gone. This project helps the user to  control the things by using his/her smartphone. Time is a very valuable thing. We are introducing this to save people’s time. and can be accecible from any where

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

There was no change over system designed IoT based,Our change over system is IoT based and is cost effective and can even operate heavy loads like AC by changing over when there is power outage.It is accessible by everyone  from every where easily.
