Project Area of Specialization Electrical/Electronic EngineeringProject SummaryThree phase induction motors are mostly used in industry for various operations. Here the implementation of monitoring system for 3-phase induction motor based on programable logic controller(PLC) & SCADA technology is described. Also the implementation of a hardware and software for speed control, direction control, parameter monitoring on SCADA screen is provided. VFD can also use to control the motor rotation direction and rotation speed of the three phase induction motor. All the required control and motor performance monitoring data will be taken to a personal computer by SCADA software via PLC for further analysis.

Project Implementation MethodThis method is very easy for implementation of this project, SCADA is basicaly like a supervisor that how to start motor and also the progress of machine, production etc.. PLC is commanding and VFD controls the speed , also in the end SCADA will monitor everything like motors speed, RPM, rotation etc..
