Many times, People come across situations where they face daily life challenges like while they are on the highway, driving, and suddenly out of nowhere, their car breaks down (most probably an axle breaks or a tire bursts). According to Pakistan Bureau of Statistics 11000+ accidents have been observed during the year of 2015-16 due to car failure.
In a country like Pakistan, there are no help services offered widely across the country. Most importantly, the users also don’t know where the nearest mechanic in that area would be. They need a mobile mechanic that would solve their problem.

Contact Meestri is an Android application that provides the user an opportunity to acquire technical help like mobile mechanic services for issues confronted by the user in a car while driving on the highway. The user would be able to order mechanic services for his car with convenience provided by the self-explanatory application regarding the nearest mechanic available on the map (Google Maps) using GPS (Global Positioning System).

The application provides a solution to the user via providing the relevant information for the breakdown occurred in the car even if there is no internet access. It provides the user with the contact information such as phone number to the relevant mechanic services like (Electrician, Mechanics) available nearest in that area of the incident.

Project Objectives

Contact Meestri provides mobility to the services offered by mechanics especially on highways and places where there are almost no other means of contacting relevant help except using an Android Application. It gives the user ease of accessing a mechanic service at the point of the incident via calling through the phone number provided by the application to the nearest mechanic in town or by making an urgent appointment for mobile services with the mechanic using the application.

Contact Meestri is envisioned to have a short term goal of introducing IT literacy among the mechanic industry and to acquire statistics upon results gathered for further advancements. The long term goal of the project is to revolutionize the IT industry with such businesses by monetizing the processes of the business industry via the technology of the internet. The business itself is envisioned to be spread across the country with fewer complexities and to earn decent profit upon positive customer responses acquired by the services offered.

To support mobility of more than a 100 mechanics on Indus Highway by the end of May.

To provide mobile mechanic services to 2000+ users while traveling on Indus Highway.

To empower the idea of technology among mechanics

Project Implementation Method

The activities for the application development process are listed as follows:

• Android-Based app Development

1. Setup environment for app development
2. The registration page for vehicle owners
3. The registration page for Mechanics
4. Use of Google Map API’s

The team would develop an android application using software platforms like Firebase and Android Studio. The application would be delivered to the users with an interface that is tempting and user-friendly, especially for the mechanic. It would deliver better services by contacting relevant people for the job to the end user (who faces a problem) and would result in a technological impact among the mechanics and the domestic users.

• Prototype delivery (Via Marketing Personally)

Visiting personally to convince the mechanics to offer their services on this app.

• Survey

The survey activities would be carried out by using survey methodologies like opinions, behavior and factual information.

Benefits of the Project

Contact Meestri, a solution to the mobility of mechanic services revolutionizing the market to introduce convenience using IT specific task accomplishments. A key to the user for quick services being acquired in the middle of the road with a tap of a finger.

The problem to reduce complexities being offered to a user while facing a breakdown in his vehicle on the highway is being envisioned to be solved with this application. The objective of the services provided by the application to the user is being able to acquire mobile services to the problem in context.

Moreover, the mechanic industry is being targeted to be acquainted with IT knowledge for advancements in their field. The revolution of making the mechanic industry accessible to the tip of the finger is an advancement in the field of IT and the general public's knowledge to acquire help more easily.
