In daily busy routine life ,people have no time to search and park their cars. In car parking system, drivers don’t have to spend time searching around for an available spot instead they can directly move to an available space which is either shown on the LCD.

The main objective of this project is to provide an easy and safe car parking system in which driver will park the car at a certain available spot ,which will be shown on LCD display.

 This project will consist on two systems.

The First one will be LCD display for available slot.

The second one is number verification and face detection ,which will be done by image processing.

The main objective of our project is to make our parking system easy, safe and secure, for this purpose we will do number plate detection and face recognization.

Project Objectives

ØIn the proposed car parking system, drivers will not have to spend time searching around for an available spot instead they can directly move to an available space which will be shown on the LCD.

ØThe main objective of this project is to provide an easy and safe car parking system in which driver will park the car at a certain available spot, which will be shown on LCD display.

Project Implementation Method

Ø At first stage, when a car will be come at main entrance, there will be a LED display.

Ø The LED will show all the empty slots in parking area.

ØThere are various methods of detecting slots in a car parking such as Magnetic sensors, Microwave Radar, Ultrasonic sensors and image processing.

Øwe will be use ultrasonic sensors (HC-SR04) .

ØUltra sonic sensors will be place on the top of the roof.

ØThe sensing procedure will be according to the distance measurement, in each slot total distance from top to bottom will be 10 feet.

Ø If distance will be 10 feet then sensors will generate a signal, which identify that slot is empty.

Ø If sensor measure distance 4 feet or less then 4, it will show that slot is occupied.

 As this project is innovative and is not working in Pakistan, so it will has high demand and will be profitable

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

ØDetection of free slot in parking area using sensors which will be display on LCD at main gate.

ØFace recognization and number plate verification using image processing for security.
