Project Area of Specialization Internet of ThingsProject SummaryPakistan generates about 48.5 million tons of solid waste a year, which has been increasing more than 2 percent annually. Like other developing countries, Pakistan lacks waste management infrastructure, creating serious environmental problems. Smart cities integrate multiple mobile or web solutions to build a comfortable human habitation. One of these solutions is to provide an environmentally friendly, efficient and effective garbage management system. The current garbage collection system includes routine garbage trucks doing rounds daily or weekly, which not only doesn’t cover every zone of the city but is a completely inefficient use of government resources.
In our surrounding, there are a lot of garbage and the management is not capable to handle all the workers by inspecting them. Fake complaints are also generated to degrade the departments and management. Through this project we can facilitate many areas and cities even industry area in our country. With the help of this user interface the user/admin/driver will able to view and perform our task through our Web-App. Location Facility is specially added to avoid any fake complaints.
Project ObjectivesThe main purpose of this project to clean Pakistan. A web app is developed for the
workforce and the citizens, which primarily provides the generated routes for the
workforce and make them loyal with their work. The goal of this project is to make good relation between higher management and people.
Modules:
The system comprises of 3 major modules with their sub-modules as follows:
Admin:

- Login: Admin need to login with its valid credentials to access the below modules.
- Create Bin: Here, admin can create bin at any location where bin is needed to collect garbage.
- Update Bin: Admin can update bin location, its type and visit day for collecting the garbage.
- Create Driver: Admin or any authorized person can create driver profile on this web based system where driver can see its daily tasks.
- Update Driver: Admin will update driver location, its route and its performance report.
- View Driver: Admin can view all the registered drivers with their details.
- Driver Task: Admin will assign all tasks to drivers on their profile.
- View Driver Task: Admin can see driver’s performance by checking their daily generated report of completing tasks.
- View Complaints: Admin can view the complaints generated by people about creating new bin, department performance.
Driver:
- Login: Driver need to enter valid credentials to access the below given modules.
- View Work: After successful login, driver can view its work which assigned by admin.
- Update Work: After completing the task/work, driver will update it to Task Completed.
User:
- Create Account: User can create its profile by completing a form and can be register to the system.
- Register Complaints: After successful login, user can request for a bin, can complaint about any issue related to performance of staff and drivers.
- My Complaints: User can check its complaints status on its profile.
This system can be used in waste management companies, societies to control and manage the garbage by time and improve their employee’s performance. This project will help companies to clean garbage and make environment pollution free.
Technical Details of Final Deliverable Tools and Technology- HTML, CSS & JavaScript will be used for front-end.
- PHP (Laravel) for back-end.
- MySQL & XAMPP for database and server.
