Castle in the air
Project Area of Specialization Artificial IntelligenceProject SummaryThe project focuses on the personality traits and the researcher’s inspiration. The
main keyword for the traits were wild, dreamer and colorful, whereas, the inspiration belongs to
the flying birds at height. The scenario of flying birds is the manner of giving satisfaction to eyes
and positivity to the heart.
The researcher found a bird for the color palette and the techniques
and texture. The main focus was on the creation of the product designs that definitely based on
the traits and inspiration. These three products were the best example of positivity by themselves.
Project ObjectivesThis topic belongs to the traits and inspiration as well. Castle in the air is basically a synonym of a dream but it also defines the scenario of the flying birds as they also look like the castles in the air. The bird that is been focused was the amazing type of an Eagle named as ‘Bateleur’. This eagle fits on the trait of colorful and wild. Eagles are wild but this type of an eagle is the most colorful and beautiful. Focusing on the products the researcher created A Tree House which is used for relaxation and for a private space, second product was A Dream Catcher that is basically used for the positive dreams and keeping the negativity away from the dreams and third product was A Kinetic Sculpture that is a rotatory in motion and that gives the satisfaction to eyes just like the flying birds.
Project Implementation Method1 Tree House
A wooden house was constructed with a pure wood that gives a wild look as well.
There were door having an opening from the center and a beak made of wood was attached on
the door as a handle for opening and closing of the house. First layer of parachute was cut into
pieces of small and large size for giving the 3D texture of the bird’s face which was quite
feathery. With the help of bamboo sticks the pieces were attached by giving the fabric a feathery
look rom edges by hand. Second layer was of black and gray parachute, which was cut and
attached in same way and then the layer of organza as well. For the face features, the researcher
used foil paper to create the base texture of face features which was painted in the end. The beak
was fully covered by the thread and then painted according to the colors of the beak the bird has.
At the backside of the house which has no closing, wings of 5ft were attached as the blinds
which can be open and closed as well according to the mood. The wings were cut and covered
with the blue fabric and the feathers made of parachute and organza were attached with layers on
layers like the face feathers made by hands. From the center of the wings the layers were
separately cut and was fully covered by the fibers. From the outer side of the tree house a bright
blue colored parachute was attached to cover it from the top so that it can protect the wood and
inner side from rain etc. In the end Rexene was laid on the inner space for finishing and the fairy
lights were connected.

4.6.2 Dream catcher
It is the simple of positive dreams and to keep the negativity away. On the very
first step a round ring frame was taken from the market. Secondly, the structure of wings was cut
and covered with blue parachute from front and black parachute from the back side. The wings
were then covered with the feathers of parachute and organza made from hands and attached on
the front side and the central layers were fully covered with the fibers same as the wings of the
house. The round frame was attached with the threads with inserted crystals with gaps and the
feathers of organza attached were attached at the end of the thread. Then the frame was covered
by the jute rope for the final finishing and then the wings were attached at the end.

4.6.3 Kinetic sculpture
On the very first step the steel rods were cut according to the size of the design with the hole at the corner and center for passing the fish wire to hang the birds. The birds were made by the foil paper and the wings of the birds were made by inserting bamboo sticks and covering it with foil paper. Then the birds were covered with the pure fibers. On the next step the birds were hung with the wire passed through the rods. The rods were covered with the jute rope for finishing at the end.

these products were useful for the garden use for example; TREE HOUSE is used as the separate space for relaxing, playing etc, DREAM CATCHER is used for bringing the positivity in dreams and keep the negativity away, whereas, KINETIC SCULPTURE is a rotating sculpture that gives satisfaction to the heart and eyes.
Technical Details of Final Deliverablethese three products are delivered to the place where artificial things are sold which are the things off decorations and for some use also.
