Brookwood is a system for tracking stock levels, sales and deliveries that covers everything from product details, warehousing to shipping .This application will help in reducing manual work.

Brookwood is a desktop application that shall have features like sales & purchase record (daily/monthly/annual), invoicing records, employees salary records (daily/monthly/yearly), database of every line item,and cost changing accessibility of any product/item. It may also have a furniture gallery from where the customer can have a look over what he/she is buying and its details and putting it altogether with crystal reporting for keeping track of detailed information. Practically, it means a business can see all the small moving parts of its operations. The main purpose of this system is to keep detailed track of products without using spreadsheets which makes work less efficient also this system will be easy to operate.The tools used for making this project are MSSQL, C# Winforms, .Net, Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio.

Project Implementation Method

The purpose of project methodology is to allow for controlling the entire management process through effective decision making and problem solving, while ensuring the success of specific processes, approaches, techniques, methods and technologies. Typically, a methodology provides a skeleton for describing every step in depth, so that a project manager will know what to do in order to deliver and implement the work according to the schedule, budget and client specification.

Spiral model is a combination of sequential and prototype model. This model is best used for large projects which involves continuous enhancements. There are specific activities which are done in one iteration (spiral) where the output is a small prototype of the large software. The same activities are then repeated for all the spirals till the entire software is build.

Each spiral can be termed as a loop and each loop is a separate development process in a spiral model. The four activities (Planning, Risk analysis, engineering and evaluation) form the intermediary phases of a spiral model and is repeated again for each loop.

This model is very good to use for larger projects where you can develop and deliver smaller prototypes and can enhance it to make the larger software. The implementation of this model requires experienced resources as risk analysis is a very integral part of this model and risk analysis requires expertise and as a result this model becomes costly.
