The Automation and Recommendation of Logistics for Optimal Utilization of Resources is a project which provides the company a system to keep track of number of palettes dispatched to the destination. It not only keeps the record of number of palettes dispatched from the supplied location but also the number of palettes received at consumer location. It stores the details of the truck such as the information of transporter along with truck number plate.
This system is not only an Automated system but also a Recommendation System which will recommend the most suitable transporter based on timely delivery and proper utilization of capacity. If the capacity of the truck is not fully utilized, then system will recommend the driver to make the most of space. The transporters are rated based on all aforementioned performance parameters. The cost for all the transporters is fixed but if the performance or the rating of the transporter provided by the customer is remarkable then, the system will predict and recommend bonus to that transporter. The transporters with high rating are most preferred.
This system is an innovative automated approach to maintain the records which was previously done manually. This approach is much more reliable than the manual approach which has higher chances of errors.
The main objective of this project is to maintain the logistics by an automated system. This system is used to minimize the possibilities of errors which happens during the delivery of palettes. If any error occurs at the time of delivery, this system can be used to track the cause of error.
•In this system the target audience will be - management staff, customers, guards.
• Easy interface for guards.
• Image recognition of truck’s number plate using camera.
• Exception cases for Input validations.
• Graphical views for analyzing the delivery.
• Changes can be done in Databases by management team.
• Feedback should be taken from the customers.
• Other interface for the customer, So that he can verify that he received the goods.
• This system will be available on two platform for applications that is tablet and computer.
• This system will recommend the management that how much amount of cost a Transporter is to be paid.
• Every data should be analyzed in report form.
• Various reports and statistics.
• Acquire data: The data will be acquired first and then analyzed.
• Develop front-end: Designing an interactive and user-friendly GUI.
• Develop back-end: Maintaining the data acquired.
• Explore & Implement ML: Searching and learning different ML algorithms for prediction and recommendation in our system.
• Reports & Statistics: The data maintained at the backend level will be used to generate the report.
• Charts: The reports and statistics generated will be displayed as charts.
Since no software has been made until now in Pakistan to keep the tracks of information regarding paletts delivery, this website will help the industry to maintain the records in an organized manner which makes it reliable and minimizes the chances of error occurrence. The main purpose of this automated system is to ensure if the correct order is delivered within the given time at the right place. Previously, it was observed that the truck delivered the items even though the capacity of truck wasn’t fully utilized which resulted in a great loss of time, money and fuel. So now, this system also makes sure that the truck is fully utilized. With automated systems there will be no need to take time out of our schedule to perform these menial tasks manually.
