The turbine is promising because of Ultra-Low head and fish friendly. In Pakistan, not enough work is done on it.

Project Objectives

The objectives of our project to be achieved are.

To design and Fabricate a Screw turbine for Rural area.
To achieve specific amount of power to operate a specific task or to pwer a specific building equipments.
To get familiar our society with this renewable and easy source of energy.

Project Implementation Method

Determination of various sites parameters and flow rates.
Selection of feasible site to install the project.
Calculation of various turbine design parameters.
Designing of 3D model in SolidWorks 2016.
Fabrication of the project.
Experimentation of the project.
Checking for validation.
Installing the project on the selected site.
Report writing of the project.

Turbine shaft lenght is 1200mm

Turbine shaft inner diameter is 65mm

Turbibe blades outer diameter is 121mm

Number of Blades are 10

Diameter of casing trough is 250mm

12 volt battery and a generator

Turbine shaft and blade material is stainless steel

Pulley material is stainless steel

Required power to produce is 1000W
