Project Area of Specialization Cloud Infrastructure,Project SummaryNet energy meter will note the behavior of load, Power factor with Time of Use (TOU). It will cut of electricity when under/over voltage occur. It also records the event when unusual activity is happened. Prepaid function is also developed. GSM is also inserted for communication to control from remotely. we also proposed Load management system which manages the energy consumption of household appliances during peak hour. Extra features are also added to make this product user friendly.

The block diagram of Net energy meter and Load managment system are shown below which are discribing the whole work and integrated system.
The volt, Current and power factor meter are made for calculating the power. Microcontroller note the Sending or receiving power On the basis of direction of current. RTC and SD card module is also interfaced for storage of data with time. GSM module is used for cummunication with meter to take readings and ON/OFF from remote areas. LCD displays the instantaneous Voltage , Current, THD, Power Factor, Sending/Receving Power,Unit consumed and Remaining Units. 

Traditional energy meter only displays the accumulated unit and monthly feedback to the consumers is not enough as a consumer will not have the knowledge of how much energy does the individual appliances consume. The major problem rises, when the consumer is unaware with daily behavior. The energy meter is being built according to the requirement of the user and utility. By analyzing the load curves, consumer can reduce the electricity cost by proper management of the household appliances. For maintaining the energy level and saveing electricity a load management system is also proposed which will prorities the rooms and cut off the electricity of least prority room when energy consumption is higher.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableTrue Power Factor which is the product of Displacement Power Factor and Distortion Power Factor.
Under/Over Voltage protection: Energy meter will cut off the electricity in case of over/under voltage because mostly users has no protection system at home and some has circuit breaker which operate on over current not on under/over voltage.
Store data with time of use(TOU): It will store all data with TOU and give daily load curves because traditional energy meter give monthly feedback and user cannot analyze his load.
Events Record: ON/OFF and Under/Over voltage event
ON/OFF and status From Remote Location: It gives fully control to the user. User can see the consumption of electricity from remote location and control it to save electricity.
Load management System: we have also made a system which manages the load of home at specific level and save electricity.
