In our project ,we basically automate the spot welder machine which is already installed in our workshop. For automation we make a conveyer belt and rotational linear mechanism for our project. On conveyer belt we attach three sensor ,the first sensor senses the pieces and start the conveyer belt. When it reaches to the second sensor the sensor stops the conveyer belt and the rotational linear mechanism push the paddle due to which both electrode touches the piece and the spot occur.After that the conveyer belt starts and when the piece reaches to the third sendor the conveyer belt stops and we collect the spot piece.
Our project main objectives are to automate already installed machines. As technology is advancing day by day and old machines are becoming obscelete. So for the first time in our department we are automating already installed machines. As in industry massive pieces are produced day by day ,so the automation mechanism are better for them and also for the safety of labers and workers.
When we came into this idea ,some people are saying to us that it is impossible to make this project complete. We execute the project in two mechanism. One mechanism is for the conveyer belt and the second one is Rotational Linear Mechanism. The difficult task in this project was to design and manufacture the mechanism for the pushing of paddle automatically. As the pushing of paddle needs 12.5 kg weight. Then at last we came into this idea by connecting the high torque motor with the shaft and the rod, will convert the rotational motion of motor into the linear motion by the rod and then it will push the paddle of spot welder. Then the spot will take place.
The project will provide benefits to all the Teachers, lab Engineers and the students. They will feel comfortable by working on the spot welder machine. In addition to this by using this project ,we can prepare massive product. By using this automation system risk of accidents are become smaller. This project will motivate the people that old machines which are costly can be upgraded to automation.
As on project we start working early and its last date of submission is nearly approaching. So 70% of work on this project are completed. We are trying to complete at as soon as possible. As we have financially problem that’s why our project is not completed yet.
